The farmhouse is where hospitality happens at Shalom House. The dining/meeting room can seat up to 54 people at nine rectangular tables. There are sliding glass doors and a large deck off the dining/meeting room. A cozy fireplace at one end of the dining room keeps people warm on chilly mornings.
The dining/meeting room can be arranged in a variety of ways to meet your needs. We are very flexible about the use of space at Shalom House. Groups often use the chapel and library as small-group space during retreats.
The chapel comfortably seats 16 people, but with added chairs can fit quite a few more. There is an altar, ambo, two pews along the walls and nine comfortable chairs. The centerpiece of the chapel is a beautiful cross, hand-designed especially for Shalom House.
The library is a comfortable spot nestled behind the kitchen. It is nice for small group meetings or for relaxing on a quiet afternoon. Furnishings include a couch, comfy chair and rocking chairs.
There is a table and chairs on the deck for eating in warm weather. There are Adirondack chairs on the deck for enjoying your morning coffee. Another small porch off the front of the farmhouse has rocking chairs and a table.
